21" Parvati Devi Standing in Bronze Standing bronze statues of the goddess Parvati are celebrated for their grace, devotion, and feminine power, with many of the most admired examples originating from the Chola dynasty in southern India. These sculptures are often referred to as "Sivagami" or "Uma," and are crafted using the ancient lost-wax technique.

Spiritual significance
• Embodiment of energy: Parvati is the consort of Lord Shiva, and her bronze form embodies divine feminine energy, or Shakti. As the goddess of power, fertility, and devotion, she represents a cosmic balance with the male and female forces.
• Processional icons: Many Chola bronzes were created as portable icons known as utsava murtis, which were carried out of the inner sanctum of temples during festivals for devotees to see. The holes on their bases were for inserting poles to carry them.
• Object of worship: The sculptures served as a conduit for a connection between the worshipper and the divine. The presence of a standing Parvati statue is believed to invoke her blessings for prosperity, protection, and spiritual well-being.
